The Perks

Recently, about a week ago, I watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower. And let me tell you, it was perfect. The book is one of my favorites and, honestly, I was a little scared of how the outcome was going to be like. But it came out beautifully.

So, I just want to take a moment to discuss the fantastic fashion choices in the movie. I'm mainly going to focus on Emma Watson's character, Sam, rather than the boys because let's face it, their style wasn't all that exciting :)

Oh man. The first thing I notice is Emma's shoes. The Mary Jane type style is killer and the nude color is just perfect. I think I also see some Dr. Marten's on Logan there which pleases me greatly. I'm a huge fan of them Docs.

The costume designer was just perfect at picking the classics. The suit Logan is wearing is a necessity for every man I think. I don't personally have a suit like this yet but I need one. It always adds a bit of class a poise to any man's character. The top Emma is wearing goes perfectly with the patterned skit and you can never go wrong with black pantyhose/leggings when paired with a nice chic, classic ensemble. I also like the contrast of the small sort of turtle neck and the absence of sleeves on the red top.

So here's the outfit from the first picture minus the cozy grey sweater. Again, those shoes = <3 and that dress if gorgeous. Maroonish colors are my favorite and floral type prints are always beautiful. The length and style give that classic look as always. I'm just loving that boat neck/sweetheart sort of style at the top. It allows her to show off her necklace in a modest elegant way. God, why is she so perfect!?

Ok, before watching the movie, I had absolutely no idea she was playing the sister. Mistake on my part. So, naturally, when I saw her I freaked. She's fantastic. And she always wore the cutest super vintage clothes. I felt like I was really watching an 80s/60s teen flick. The cardigan is great, although, I'm a sucker for cardigans. And the dress has that innocent school girl feel and gives her a sort of vibrant glow. I don't know, it just makes her look super happy.

Alright, last one. This was probably one of favorites. I always die a little when I see someone rocking the 90s knot. I. JUST. LOVE. IT. And Emma always pulls off those black pantyhose, doesn't she? Logan looks pretty chill too. The outfit's pretty ordinary but the colors are perfect for the fall, so take notes boys.

Overall, the clothes were amazing. The movie was perfect in every single way. I literally never stopped crying during it. And by crying, I'm talking the fucking Niagara Falls with a little but of snot flowing downstream over here. loveditloveditlovedit!!
